We don't just have fun on Hogmanay!

Our traditional Scottish Nights give you the flavour of a real Scottish Ceilidh

Your evening begins with a welcome reception and a dram of Glengoyne Malt, then enjoy the true taste of Scotland with a traditional four course dinner, created by Chef from the finest Scottish ingredients.

After Dinner the Cosmopolitan Pipe Band and dancers will start the evening's entertainment, and encourage you to join in for an impromptu lesson.

Your new-found skills will be put to good use with an evening of dancing to our Ceilidh Band.

THE TASTE

Unlike most other single malts Glengoyne has been preserving the essence of its flavour for decades by using harsh peat smoke. The result is a more subtle, complex whisky in which all of the delicate flavours are freely allowed to express themselves. Slainte

THE TRADITION

A haggis is a small bird, native to Scotland, with vestigial wings - like the ostrich. Because it is exclusively found on the sides of Scottish mountains, it has evolved a rather strange gait. The poor thing has only three legs, and each leg is a different length. When hunting haggis, you must get them on to a flat plain where they are very easy to catch as they can only run round in circles. The noise haggis make during the mating season gave rise to that other great Scottish invention, the bagpipes. Nae kiddin!!

THE FUN

Originating in the 1600's Scottish country dancing was an early form of ballroom dancing for the uninhibited especially after a dram or two!! It is important not to confuse country dancing with the highland fling which was based on the rutting movements of the great highland stag - a kind of fertility dance. Please feel free tae join in!
